Lawn Care MVP - Frequently Asked Questions :

FAQ's about Aeration :

WHEN SHOULD YOUR LAWN BE AERATED : Each spring and fall.

WHAT IS A CORE AERATION :
Hollow metal tubes are rolled across the turf which punch through thatch and pull up small cores of grass and soil.

WHY IS THIS SERVICE DONE :
An aeration creates openings through the soil so moisture, oxygen, and fertilizer can effectively reach the roots. It also creates pockets of space where roots can spread to grow stronger and deeper. Healthy roots make healthy grass.

WHY DO A CORE AERATION INSTEAD OF LIQUID AERATION :

An aeration performed with our commercial core aerator machine gives the most effective results of any aeration type. It simultaneously creates openings that offer roots more space to grow, while offering instant access to moisture needs, oxygen, and nutrients. The small cores of grass and soil which are spread across the turf during a core aeration will break down quickly with mowing and watering, offering their nutrients to the yard as well.

* An overseeding service is most effective when performed with your aeration.

FAQ's about Aeration with Overseed Service :

WHY DO AN OVERSEED SERVICE WITH AN AERATION :

You will get maximum results for your turf when an overseed application is done at the same time as your core aeration.

WHAT IS AN OVERSEED SERVICE :

When an overseed service is done at the same time as a core aeration, new grass seed will be dropped throughout the aeration. These new seeds will grow to help fill in thinner areas of your turf so it can become thicker and healthier. (Please note this is not a service done on dirt yards which have no lawn yet. It helps thicken existing turf.)

HOW IS THE OVERSEED PERFORMED :

As the hollow tubes on the core aerator are rolled across your turf and create openings in the soil, grass seed will be dropped simultaneously throughout the aeration, allowing it the best conditions to settle into the soil and grow.
